Injured Hassan was missing for one year

Alleged militant Hassan, caught in an injured condition at Shyamoli mess, has been identified as Rakibul Islam alias Regan. He went missing one year ago.
He received critical injuries in the head and leg during joint forcers operation in the city’s Kalyanpur on Tuesday. He was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
Police said that he hailed from Jamil Nagar in the district of Bogra. His residence is situated adjacent to Government Azizul Haque College. His father Reazul Karim died few years ago.
His mother Rokeya Ahkter is a senior nurse at Nandigram Upazila Health Complex. Hassan has a sister.
According to the statement of his mother given to police, Hassan passed SSC from Karatoa Multimedia High School in 2013 and passed HSC from Government Shah Sultan College in 2015. Later, Hassan got admission at Retina Coaching Centre in Bogra town for medical admission test.
He went missing in July last year. His mother filed a General Diary with Bogra Sadar Police Station in this connection.
His mother claimed to the police that Hassan did not keep any contact with her for last one year.
In his confessional statement before the police, Hassan said that he came to the Kalyanpur mess about one month ago. But he was never allowed to come out of the house.
His main responsibility was to cook the meal of other mess members. In the wee hours of Tuesday when police started raid, he jumped out from building. He caught and sent by police to DMCH at about 2:00am.
He also disclosed the names of the nine slain militants to the police. They are: Robin, Sabbir, Tapas, Ovi, Atique, Sohan, Imran, Iqbal and Hassan.
