A Dhaka court on Sunday re-fixed the indictment hearing in a sabotage case filed against 23 BNP leaders and activists, including the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Magistrate Atiqur Rahman of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka fixed May 9 for the hearing
on framing charge against the BNP men in response to a petition filed for seeking time on behalf of Mirza Fakhrul. He could not appear in the court due to his illness.
On March 2, 2013, some miscreants vandalized and torched vehicles in Shahjahanpur area during BNP-Jamaat sponsored shutdown. On March 20, 2013, Detective Branch (DB) SI Ruhul Amin Munshi submitted the charge sheet of the case to the court against the accused.
