Indictment hearing in two cases against Khaleda Nov 17

A Dhaka court yesterday deferred hearing in the two cases filed against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to November 17.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur of the CMM Court of Dhaka passed the order fixing the new date responding to a time plea as the BNP leader was ill in a hospital. Khaleda Zia’s lawyer Masud Ahmed Talikder sought the time on behalf of his lawyer.
Of the two cases, on August 30, 2016, Joint Secretary General of Dhaka Journalists Union, Gazi Zahirul Islam filed the case against Khaleda Zia on the charge of celebrating false birth day.
Besides, on November 3, 2016, Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad President AB Siddiqui filed the other defamation case against Khaleda Zia on the charge of defaming the national flag, giving it to the cars of anti-liberation people.
