The election of the Dhaka Sangbadik Griha Sangsthan Samabaya Samity Ltd. was held on December 18 at its office on Saturday. The election was conducted by an Election Commission two panels-Abdul Awal Thakur-Shahjahan Mozumder and Mokarram-Hamidul Islam contested the election (three-year term). Abdul Awal Thakur and Shahjahan Mozumder both Senior journalists were elected President and Secretary respectively with highest votes. Md. Sirajul Islam was elected Vice President and Gazi Yousuf Treasurer. Five members Abul Hashem Mojumder, Hasina Akhter, Abdul Mannan, Sajjad Hossain, Sheikh Enamul Haque and Mainuddin were elected from the Awal-Shahjahan Panel Rafiquddin Ahmed Member and Md. Sahadat Hossain Joint Secretary were elected from the Mokarram-Hamid Panel.
