Students are being taught in a dilapidated school building in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna. The plaster of the roof of the school has fallen off and the iron’s rod has come out. Bricks have come out of the plaster of the wall.
Students feraed to sit in class. . The name of such distressed school is Gobindpur Government Primary School of Khanmrich Union in the upazila.
 Three classrooms of this building are dangerous. As a result, teachers and students are afraid of accidents. Meanwhile, as there is no alternative system, the classes for children are going there despite knowing that it is risky.
Zulkar Naim and Tahiya Khatun, students of the fifth grade of the school, said that they are afraid of attending classes in the dangerous building. As a result, they are not able to concentrate in the lesson.
Headteacher Mojahid Alam Syed said that the building of our school is very old. It has not been renovated for a long time. Any time there is a risk of accidents.
Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Abul Kalam Azad claimed that all the rooms of the school building are dangerous for a long time and said that the upazila engineer has been informed several times in writing.
Upazila Engineer Afroza Khatun said, with the resolution of the education committee, a proposal will be sent for the construction of a new building in the premises of the school on priority basis under the government school development project.
