He urged people to co-operate police and restrict their movements without any necessity.
Earlier on Sunday, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police acting commissioner Monirul Islam urged all political parties and social-cultural groups to withdraw their scheduled programme on these days.
“If any political party fails to comply with the request, we will consider them as traitors,” Monirul said and adding that “Police will take strict legal action against people who are or will be trying to create any sabotage.”
IGP Benazir said that a group of people are involved in ugly campaign against Bangladesh. They don’t notice any developments and achievements in the country. Bangladesh does not need these types of people.
