Anwar Hossain Chowdhury has been elected as the Chairman of Board of Directors of Islamic Finance and Investment Limited (IFIL). The decision was made in the 251st meeting of the company held on Sunday, said a press release.
Prior, he was the Chairman of Executive Committee of the company. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury is the Managing Director of A J Group. He is also a sponsor director and Chairman, Executive Committee of Takaful Islami Insurance Limited. He is the former Chairman of Board of Trustees of Eastern University.
He is a noted Industrialist in the country especially in the RMG sector. Anwar Hossain is a member of BGMEA and a very successful arbitrator for many years in BGMEA. He is actively involved and contributes to the development of education as well as to the society.
He is also very active social worker and has involvement in many social clubs. He is the Chairman of patron committee of Lakshmipur Zilla Samity, Dhaka and also the member of Banani Club, Gulshan North Club, Baridhara Cospolitan Club, Capital Club, Purbachal Club and Gulshan Joggers Society.
