Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Shashank Manohar paid homage to the Liberation War Martyrs at the National Mausoleum on Thursday.
A helicopter, carrying Shashank Manohar and his entourage members, landed in Savar, on outskirts of the capital city around 11:10am.
After placing wreaths, he also signed the visitors’ book kept on the premises of the National Mausoleum.
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan Papan, senior officers of the Board accompanied him.
They all, later, returned to Dhaka by the helicopter.
Earlier on Wednesday (Feb 6) Shashank Manohar arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit. It is the maiden visit of any ICC Chairman to Dhaka.
He is scheduled to enjoy the final match of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), slated for February 8.
Shashank Manohar twice served as the President of BCCI from 2008 to 2011 and from November 2015 to May 2016.
Earlier, he served as the Chairman of the International Cricket Council from November 2015 to March 2017.
