Human chain at IU protesting attack on minorities in Sunamganj

The teachers and students of Hindu community formed human chain at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia demanding exemplary punishment for those who were involved over vandalizing the temples and houses of Hindu community at Shalla upazila in Sunamganj on Monday.
The human chain was formed in front of the main entrance of the university arranged by university Puja Udzapan Parishad around 11:00am.
IU proctor Professor Dr M Jahangir Hossain, transport administrator Professor Dr M Anowar Hossain, former proctor Professor Dr Paresh Chandra Barman, provost council president Professor Dr Tapan Kumar Joddar and Assistant Proctor Dr Shafiqul Islam addressed at the human chain presided over by IU Puja Udzapan Parishad president Dhanonjoy Kumar.
While addressing the speakers said, ‘the minorities are being tortured in Bangladesh in several times. The government should make communal free Bangladesh.
Exemplary punishment should be given to the perpetrators who were allegedly involved over attacking on minority hindu people in Sunamjong.
