CMP police recovered about 1500 pieces of yaba from Shah Amanat Bridge area under Bakalia thana in city on Satuday night in separate drives. Bakalia thana police conducted this raid, acting on secret information. The detained yaba peddler idenfified as Md.ImonHossain(26) and Md.Ayub Miah (45) and both of them hail from Teknaf upazila. Bakalia thana police sources said Imon Hossain detained from a passenger bus at about 4 am alongwith 940 pieces of yaba and Ayub was detained from another passenger bus on Friday night . After searching him, 400 pieces of yaba recovered from body . Separate cases under narcotics act have been lodged with the Bakalia thana in connection.
