Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday said Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin on April 1.
“We hope SSC and its equivalent examinations will be completed by March and the HSC and its equivalent examinations are set to begin on April 1,” he said this while sharing views with guardians of SSC examinees at Mohammadpur Govt. High School in the city, an official release said.
The education minister also hoped that results of the SSC examinations will be published within next 60 days.
“I repeatedly requested the BNP-led 20-party alliance not to enforce hartal and blockade during the SSC examinations but they didn’t comply. I hope they will not call hartal and blockade in future for the sake of smooth academic life of our students,” he added.
