A housewife apparently killed herself following family feud at Balurchara area in the port city on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Akhi Akhter, 18, wife of Rabiul Awal of the area.
Akhi had an altercation with her husband in the morning after he had made a comment implicating her and his younger brother, Assistant Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukdar of Chittagong Medical College police outpost said quoting their family members.
Akhi later tried to take her own life by hanging herself from an iron rod on the building’s roof, the police officer said.
Family members took her to CMCH but doctors pronounced her dead, the ASI added.
