UNB, Sirajganj :
A housewife was beaten to death allegedly by her husband over a family feud at Baro Maharajpur village in Shahjadpur upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nasima Khatun, 25, wife of Lalu Miah of the village.
Hasan Shamim Iqbal, officer-in-charge of Shahjadpur Police Station, said Nasima and Lalu locked into an altercation following a family feud at about 7:30 am.
At one stage, Lalu hit Nasima with a stick, leaving her dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Lalu went into hiding after the killing.
A case was filed in this connection.
