Holy Lailatul Qadr observed

The holy Lailatul Qadr, a night of fortune and blessing’ for the Muslims, was observed on Tuesday in the port city as elsewhere in the district with due religious fervor and solemnity.
Muslim devotees spent the night with special prayers seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and the Muslim Ummah.
 Besides, Quran Khwani, special Munajats and Milad-Mahfils were also offered at the mosques.
A large number of Muslim devotees were visited the mazars of some famous saints included Hajrat Amanat Shah (RA), Hajrat Garibullah Shah (RA) and Hajrat Baizeed Bostami (RA).
Like every year, devotees offered their prayers and participated in other religious rituals in the whole night at port city’s two famous mosques-the Andarkilla Shahi Jam’e Mosque, CDA Mehidibag Mosque and Jamiatul Falah Mosque after Tarabi Prayers.
Besides, seeking divine blessings for peace, progress and happiness of the individuals, country and Muslim Ummah, the Muslim devotees also visited graves of their near and dear ones and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.
Adequate security measures were taken in different important points, mazars and mosques in the city on Tuesday night.
CCEJC has completed preparations to hold a total of 93 Eid congregations at different venues in the city while CCC completed 14 congregations structure on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at traditional and temporary venues including its 41 Ward under the supervision of respective ward Councillor.
To make the city’s Eid congregations successful, CCC is facilitating necessary decoration arrangement to around 153 Eid jamaats.
Marking the celebration, special diets will be served to the inmates of different hospitals, jails and Government Shishu Sadan.
 Besides, seven prisoners were released from the Chittagong central jail.
