Motivated Tigers embarks on as new mission with a dream of completing a clean sweep against Pakistan as both them clash in the 3rd and final ODI of Dan Cake-three match ODI series today
(Wednesday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur.
Private satellite channel Gazi TV telecast live day/night match that kicks off at 14.30 pm.
History beckons Bangladesh as they not only would be winning their first ever ODI series against Pakistan but also have a chance to complete 3-0 whitewash. Tigers are firmly placed having taken an unassailable 2-0 lead against Pakistan and would love to finish the series on the winning note.
While Pakistan’s decline continued on from the World cup and now have reached to its lowest ebb. They would leave no stone upturned to salvage some of their lost pride as they battle to save their side from total embarrassment.
The Bangladesh batters continue to sparkle in their previous two matches against Pakistan led by dashing southpaw opener Tamim Iqbal who slammed back to back century while indomitable Mushfiqur Rahim continue on his brilliant World Cup with a ton of devastating half century while others showed glimmer of hope with some quick runs.
Tigers fan believe that in-form Tamim should be looking forward to carry on his good work and stamped his name in the history book with another century against Pakistan.
Diminutive wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim too played a major role for Bangladesh’s first match win hitting a blistering century and scored useful 65 runs on way of Bangladesh’s chase in the second match that helped them cruise to victory without much fuss.
Pakistan are in dire strait as they now look to salvage some of their loss pride with their batting in shambles and bowlers looking unimpressive with their toothless attack. Even a win would be a sigh of relief for Pakistan.
The home side is allowed to feel some Schadenfreude when hearing Pakistan ask for more time to develop as a team. It used to be Bangladesh’s go-to phrase for years.
Ahead of the third ODI, both teams are in uncharted waters: there have been plenty of dead rubbers between these sides but Pakistan were never on the wrong end of one.
