Hash Browns

Ingredients :
 3 potatoes
salt as required
Red chilli powder as required
powdered black pepper as required
How to make
Step 1
To prepare these delicious hash browns, scrub clean the potatoes with water. Put a heavy bottomed vessel on medium flame. Add potatoes with water and salt in it for boiling.
Step 2
Bring it to a boil, lower the flame, and let the potatoes cook for around 10 minutes.
Step 3
Switch off the flame, drain the water, and rinse potatoes with cold water, so that you can remove their skin without burning yourself.
Step 4
Now, take a large bowl and grate the potatoes in it. Squeeze out water if it is still there and pat dry the grated potatoes.
Step 5
Put a pan on medium flame and heat some ghee in it.
Step 6
Add a small quantity of potatoes (or in batches) in the pan.
Step 7
Season it with salt, black pepper, and red chilli powder, as per your taste and requirement. Then, push down the potatoes using a spatula or spoon and shape them into a patty.
Step 8
Let the potatoes cook till they start getting brown. It may take about a minute. When one side is cooked, then flip them over and let the other side for the same amount of time.
Step 9
Repeat the process till all the hash browns are made. Finally, transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot with a dip or sauce.
