Today is birthday of country’s one of the legendary Nazrul artistes Shaheen Samad. But she has no specific plan to celebrate the day. This Ekushey Award winner singer was born in Kushtia. She is daughter of Md Shamsul Huda and Shamsunnahar Rahima Khatun.
While talking about her birthday Shaheen Samad told this correspondent, “I like birthday. In fact, I never think about my age. I like when everybody wishes me on this day.”
She informed that her sister Shelly Ahmed has came from London. Today she along with her family will enjoy her presence at Rtv’s live show Tarokalap. She also gave her voice in title song of movie Nawab Siraj ud Dawla under Ataur Rahman’s composition of lyrics and music. She has 10 Nazrul song albums. She got the Ekushey Award in 2016. She received honour from Nazrul University in 2009 and Nazrul Institute in 2014.
