Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka has served show cause notices on the principals of five intermediate colleges as to why they should not be punished for their alleged involvement in GPA-5 scam.
These colleges are: Milestone College, National Public College, Uttara United College, Dhaka Megacity College and Brilliant College.
They reportedly received huge amount of money from the students assuring them of GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination this year.
College Inspector of Dhaka Education Board Professor Md. Harun-or-Rashid said that the principals had been served the show cause notices after media reported about the GPA-5 scandal.
Dhaka Education Board took the matter seriously and asked the top officials to investigate.
But the colleges have not yet answered.
Tough action including cancellation of their affiliation will be taken against the alleged colleges if their answers fail to satisfy the Board, sources said.
