The government is working against corruption and terrorism equally across the country including the hilly areas. The government is planning a new plan to keep law and order normal in the hill tract areas.
Considering the security of the public, the police and BGB members are being increased wherever they are needed. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan MP spoke to journalists at the inauguration of the newly constructed police station and four-storey barracks at Ramgar of Khagrachari on Wednesday.
After the inauguration of the thana building, District Superintendent of Police Mohd Ahmar Uzzaman presided over the rally organized by Khagrachari District Police at Ramgar Government High School premises.At that time, he said, “Your demand for getting traditional Ramgar as district is logical. I would advice that you come to the Prime Minister with your demand, I will recommend.”
Additional Superintendent of Ramgarh Circle Syed Farhad, Chairman of Khagrachari Tribal Refugee Task Force Kuzendra Lal Tripura MP, Reserved Women’s Seat MP Basanti Chakma, Chattogram Range DIG Khandokar Golam Faruk, District Council Chairman Kongjori Chowdhury,
Deputy Commissioner Protap Chandro Bishwas, Ramgarh Upazila Chairman Bishwa Pradeep Kumar Karbari, Ramgarh Municipal Mayor Shahjahan, Upazila AL’s joint convener Kazi Nurul Alam Alamgir and Ramgarh Policing Committee President Mangpru Chowdhury have spoken at the rally as special guests.
BGB Director General Major General Md Shafinul Islam and Guimara Region Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Shahriar Zaman were also present as special guests at the inauguration of the building. High officials of police and BGB, chairman of various upazila parishad, executive officers of the upazilas, and mayors of different municipalities, headmen-businessmen, and public representatives, leaders of the AL were also present at the inaugural program.
Acting General Secretary of Khagrachari district AL Nirmalendu Chowdhury, Youth and Sports Secretary Mangsuipru Chowdhury Apu, Education and Human Resources Secretary Didarul Alam Didar, PJP member Perth Tripura Jewel, Jewel Chakma and Sathrupa Chakma along with party leaders were also present at the meeting.
Later, in collaboration with the Rangtali Academy, local artists colored the stage with a fascinating harmony dance.It should be noted that Asaduzzaman Khan, MP, Ramgarh Police Station, replaced the foundation stone of the Ramgar police station and Barrack building during the last government term on December 8, 2015.
After the completion of the construction work in June of this year at the expense of Tk 7.35 crore, implemented by the Public Works Department, it was formally inaugurated on Wednesday.
