The government will preserve graves of all martyred and general freedom fighters (FFs) in view of their great sacrifices during the War of Liberation in 1971.
“In the first phase, the government has taken a project involving Taka 348 crore to preserve 20,000 graves of the martyred and general freedom fighters to pay due respect to the worthy sons of the sacred soil,” Md. Mominur Rahman, assistant chief, Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, told BSS yesterday.
