The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will file a case against Syeda Hasina Sultana, wife of former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ministry Advocate Abdul Mannan Khan, on charge of allegedly concealing information in her wealth statement submitted to the ACC and amassing wealth worth about Tk 3.5 crore dishonestly.
The Commission in a meeting held in its head office gave the approval of the case on Tuesday.
ACC Public Relation Officer said that the case might be registered shortly.
ACC Deputy Director and Investigation Officer M Nasir Uddin found the evidence of the irregularities. He collected information and documents from the joint stock company, district registrar offices, NBR, BRTA, RAJUK, BSCIC, REHAB, banks, insurances and on spot visit.
On March 18, the Commission issued a notice to Mannan Khan and his wife asking them to submit their wealth statements.
ACC filed a case with Ramna Thana against Mannan Khan on August 21 for concealing information and amassing huge wealth beyond his known sources of income.
