‘Govt to compensate students’ corona loss by special plan’

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that humanitarian organizations, including Rotary, have stood by the neglected people in tackling Corona. The government is respectfully remembering their contribution.
The minister was speaking as the chief guest at the installation ceremony of Rotary International Bangladesh District-3261 held at a hotel in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
He said the government would compensate the students’ corona loss through a special scheme. His ministry is working towards this goal.
Rotary Governor Barrister Mutasim Billah Faruqui, former Governors of Rotary, Event Chairman Hafiz Uddin Biplob and others also spoke on the occasion.

The Education Minister said the comfort zone to be set up at a cost of Tk 42 crore through 500 Rotary clubs for female students in remote areas of the country would go a long way in creating a healthy environment in the education system.
Rotary Governor Barrister Farooqi said Rotarians across the country were playing a pivotal role in tackling the Corona situation. Rotarians are delivering food to remote areas of the country for the treatment of the sick and the helpless. Apart from Corona, Rotary’s role in dealing with any future disasters will be even stronger.
