Chairman of Bangladesh Kalyan Party Major General (Retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, Bir Protik, moderated the ceremony which was also attended by 14 retired officers of Bangladesh Army.
“The governmet is pushing the country towards ‘civil war by its misrule and if the civil war starts now, the Awami League will have to take the responsibility,” said Hafizuddin urging the government to resign and hold elections under a non-partisan government to avoid civil war.
He also commented that the country’s social system had already broken due to misrule of the ruling Awami League government.
“People in the country have no freedom, no dignity, no rights, and they lean back on the wall. The whole nation has been divided and students got ruined due to bad politics of the Awami League,” said Hafizuddin, He fought in the Bangladesh Liberation War and was awarded the third highest gallantry award in Bangladesh, the Bir Bikram.
Attending the meeting virtually, Barrister Mainul Hosein said he sees no Bijoy anywhere because our Bijoy or victory shout mean Bijoy of democracy.
