Govt plans to set up technical training centers in all upazilas in phases

Planning Minister MA Mannan on Sunday said that the government has a plan to set up technical training centers at all upazilas in the country in phases.
“The government has also a plan to set up technical training centers at all upazilas in Sunamganj. This journey has started with the inauguration of technical training center at Sadar upazila,” he said.
The Planning Minister said this while addressing a function as the chief guest marking the inauguration of Technical Training Center at Sunamganj on Sunday afternoon.
Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed and Moazzem Hossain Ratan, MP, (Sunamganj-1) spoke as special guests, said a press release.
Mannan also urged all irrespective of class and creed to work for development so that the country could stand in the global arena with its head high.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given him the charge of unleashing overall development in the Haor region which he has been pursuing accordingly.
Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed said that no nation could reach its desired goal unless it is not educated in technical education.
He said with the inauguration of this technical training center at Sunamganj Sadar, the door of technical education has been opened in the Haor region while there would be accommodation facilities in this center.
Imran also informed that four more technical training centers would be set up at upazila level in Sunamganj which would help to address the unemployment problem at one hand and also would help to bring more inward remittance flow.
Chaired by Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Ahmed Munirus Salehin, BMET Director General M Shahidul Islam gave the address of welcome.
Sunamganj district council chairman Nurul Huda Mukut, deputy commissioner M Jahangir Hossain and poura mayor Nader Bakht spoke, among others, on the occasion.
