A deep conspiracy against the garments industry is feared and all should be united to foil it for the interest of the nation.
This was disclosed by First Vice President of BGMEA Moinuddin Ahmed Minto at a seminar on New Dynamism in Banglasdesh Garments sector jointly organised by BGMEA and CPD held at its regional office conference room on Monday. Following the measures taken by the Accord and Alliance on compliance issued after Rana Plaza disaster, about 1250 garments factories were closed down across the country and 360 factories in Chittagong.
The seminar was told that with the next measures of ILO, Govt and BGMEA , another 1549 factories are feared to be closed. He said to fulfill the target of 50 billions exports order on RMG after completion of half century of independence, we should change our policy to reorganise the RMG sector. He urges for positive role of the govt and the private sector to fulfill the vision.
