A girl was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified miscreants in Sylhet on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place in front of a private university at Bandarbazar in the city at around 4pm.
Police quoting witnesses said that the miscreants forcibly picked up the girl in a black car when she was standing in front of the varsity gate.
They said, the girl could be a student of the varsity. The identity of the girl could not be known immediately.
“We are trying to trace her identity and hunting for the criminals”, officer in-charge of Sylhet Kotwali Police Station told reporters after the incident.
