Eviction stopped

At least 12 labourers were injured in the clash when illegal small shops were evicted at Joydebpur Railway Junction on Wednesday . Members of eviction team were attacked by the owner of different shops at fruits market at 11 am. Following the situation eviction was stopped . Injured are identified as Ferdous, Hamidul, Anwar, Rafiqul-1, Nurunnabi, Molla, Shaheed, Kajol, Rafiqul-2, Abul Bashar, Deluar including four others unidentified. Later they were given first aid. Dhaka Divisional estate officer of Raiway, Nurunnabi Kabir said, the list of illegal establishment, have been made .
Polli Biddhut Samity fined 9 customers
Gazipur Palli Biddhut Samity has fined Tk 13, 18, 941 to 9 customers steeling electricity in Gazipur recently. This amount was fined by a mobile court . Nine cases were filed against them in this connection. The Mobile Court was driven at Nogopara, South Salna, Chandona and Mogorkhal area in Gazipur City Corporation. Executive Magistrate Nahida Parveen and DGM of Gazipur Palli Biddhut Samiti jointly led the mobile court.
Unidentified dead body recovered at Sreepur
Sreepur Thana police recovered an unidentified dead body of a woman from the deep forest at Patultia village of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur on at 6pm on Wednesday.
Amir Hossen, Officer- in -charge of Sreepur Thana, said locals found the dead body in a deep forest and informed the police. Then the police reached on the spot and recovered the dead body. Police suspected that the woman might have been killed in any place three days ago and dumped it there. A cloth was tied in her neck. Recovering the dead body Police sent it to Gazipur sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Ganja seller gets convicted
A ganja seller named Rasel Ahmed, 21 gets one year jail for selling ganjaa. He is the son of Riaz Uddin of village Chandpur at Kapasia in Gazipur. Alauddin Ali, magistrate of mobile court in Gazipur, announced one year jail to Rasel. Sub-Inspector of Kapasia Police Station A.B Siddique said, on receipt secret information police arrested Rasel with 5 Puria ganja from Chandpur Bazar in Kapasia on Monday night.
Washing factory in Gazipur fined
Environment Department fined Tk 12 lakh to Five Oshan Washing Factory Limited for polluting environment recently. Assistant Director, Environment, Mohammad Hafijur Rahman said, owner of Five Oshan Washing Ltd was fined on Tuesday for polluting environment . The magistrate heard the story of factory owner activity. The magistrate learnt that owner of the factory closed effluent treatment plan (ETP) and he did not renew the certificate of his factory. At the same way uncertified liquid chemicals were thrown in nearby cannel causing harm to environment.. He was fined Tk12 lakh for this offence.
