Unb, Dhaka :BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has been admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as he is suffering from various diseases.”He (Gayeshwar) has been suffering from various health problems, including heart and liver complications, diabetes, and blood pressure. His condition has turned worse as he couldn’t receive proper treatment during his nearly seven months’ stay in jail,” Gayeshwar’s personal secretary SM Aminul Islam told UNB on Thursday.Amin said, the BNP standing committee member got admitted to the BSMMU on Monday on doctors’ advice.He said Gayeshwar is being treated under Prof Dr ASM Raihan of gastroenterology department.On July 16, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy was released from jail on bail nearly seven months of his arrest. On December 26 last year, police filed a case with Turag Police Station against Gayeshwar on charge of giving order to produce three-hook barbed wire to carry out subversive activities. He was arrested on that night.
