BSS, Chittagong :A garment worker was stabbed to death allegedly by unidentified miscreants in city’s Akbarshah area on Sunday night.The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ikbal Hossain Akash, 32, hailed from Firoz Shah Colony of Akbarshah area under city’s Akbarshah thana.Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Akbarshah thana Mohammad Abdul Majid said some unidentified miscreants hit Akash with sharp weapons from behind in Shapla residential area around 10 pm.Critically injured Akash was rushed to a private clinic first and later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) as his condition was deteriorated; the OC said adding that Akash died on way to CMCH.A case was filed in this connection while police is investigating into the incident.
