Bakalia Thana Police arrested four men for their alleged involvement in snatching from different areas in the port city on Wednesday. The arrested were identified as Akter Hossain, 22, Indrojit Shah, 35, Badsha Mia, 31 and Liton, 20. Police arrested Akter and Indrojit following an allegation filed by a tea stall worker Tarekul Islam.
The snatchers snatched cash money and two mobile phone sets from Tarekul in Shah Amanat Bridge area under Bakalia thana while he was returning from his residence to join his workplace around 8 am. Tarekul filed a case with Bakalia thana in this regard.
