Four matches of the Inter-Divisional Women’s Kabaddi competition were decided began the opening day (Friday) at Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city’s Dhanmondi.
In the day’s matches, Kishorganj district beat Satkhira district by 40-08 points, Rangpur district outplayed Chapainawabganj district by 36-15 points, Dinajpur district outclassed Mymensingh district by 42-18 points and Jhalkathi district overpowered Barisal district by 24-20 points.
Earlier, General Secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and Additional DIG of Bangladesh Police Habibur Rahman formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest.
The champions and runners-up teams from eight divisions across the country are taking part in the two-day meet.
