International Anti-Corruption Day was observed in a befitting manner in Chapainawabganj on Monday.
Chapainawabganj district administration, Chapainawabganj district durnity protirodh committee and Committee of the Concerned Citizen (CCC), Chapainawabganj of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) jointly performed different programmes to mark the day.
Deputy Commissioner of Chapainawabganj AZM Nurul Hoque inaugurated the programmes by hoisting national flag and flying balloon and festoon in the morning. After that an hour long human chain and rally were held in front of the deputy commissioner’s office.
The programmes were held with the president of the Chapainawabganj district unit of Durnity Protirodh Committee Professor Dr. Md. Siraj Uddin in the chair while deputy commissioner AZM Nurul Hoque attended the functions as chief guest.
Mayor of Chapainawabganj municipality Md. Nazrul Islam, principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor Dr. Shankar Kumar Kundu, civil surgeon Doctor Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury and additional superintendent of police Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan attended the functions as special guests.
Bagerhat Correspondent reports: Under the joint auspices of Bagerhat District Administration, SANAC (Sachetan Nagarik Committee), Bagerhat and Durnity Protirodh Committee, Bagearhat the International Anti-corruption Day- was celebrated in Bagerhat District town in a befitting manner on Monday. The day’s programme started with a human chain formed in DC office. Md. Mamunur Rashid, DC, Bagerhat was present in the human chain as the chief guest while it was attended by high officials, school teachers and the elites of the district town. After the end of the human chain a lively discussion meeting was held in the conference room DC, Bagerhat with Prof. Chowdhury Abdur Rob, President, SANAC, Bagerhat in the chair. President of the meeting explained the need and importance of holding the International Anti-corruption Day, 2019 while he was giving his address of welcome. Md. Mamunr Rashid, DC, Bagerhat addressed the meeting as the chief guest while it was addressed by Pankaj Chandra Roy.
Bhangura (Pabna) Correspondent says: A human chain and discussion meeting marking on International Anti-Corruption Day was held at Bhangura Upazila on Monday.
In the morning, a discussion meeting was arranged at the Conference Room of Upazila Parishad. UNO Syed Asrafujjaman presided over the meeting. Alhaj Md. Baki Billah, Upazila Chairman was the chief guest. Among others Alhaj Mahmuda Khatun Vice Principal of government Haji Jamal Uddin Degree College, Prof.Mahbub-Ul-Alom ,General Secretary of the Upazila anti-Corruption committee ,Nazmul Haque OC (Investigation) Bhangura Thana, Gulshanara Parvin Lipi and Md Aslam Ali Zilla Parishad members, Golam Hafiz Ranju and Azida Khatun Pakhi Upazila Vice Chairmen, Hasnat Jahan Upazila Women Affairs Officer spoke in the occasion . Upazila administration and Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee jointly organised the function. Before the time,the day was started by raising the national flag and performing the national anthem by the members Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee and Satota Sango at government Haji Jamal Uddin Degree College.
Naogaon Correspondent: Adamdighi Upazila Administration arranged human chain , mass signs and discussion meeting were organised on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day organied by the of Bogra, with the theme “Everyone will build a country, corruption free Bangladesh, corruption will stop development.” The meeting was chaired by AKM Abdullah Bin Rashid, Executive Officer of the human chain, public signature programme and an upazila on Monday morning to commemorate the day. Among others Upazila Agriculture Officer Mithu Chandra Adhikari, Health Officer Dr. Shahidullah Dewan, Engineer Sajedur Rahman, Fisheries Officer Mahbubur Rahman, Thana Officer -In-Charge Jalal Uddin, Project Implementation Officer Amir Hossein, Tofail Hossain Liton, general secretary of the Upazila Anti-Corruption Prevention Committee, heads the various educational institutions were present in the function.
Gopalganj Correspondent adds: The International Anti-Corruption Day was observed with a befitting manner in Gopalganj on Monday.
District Administration, Gopalganj organised the programme where collaborated by British Council. On the Occasion of the day, they brought out a colourful rally and chanting slogans. The rally paraded main roads in the City.
After rally, a discussion meeting was held at DC Office conference room in Gopalganj city.
