The flight schedule of the Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport disrupted yesterday morning due to dense fog .
The stranded passengers of the flight staged demonstration in the airport lounge . Concerned sources said two incoming foreign flights landed in CSIA instead of Dhaka Shahjalal International airport as these flights could not land at Dhaka due to dense fog yesterday early morning and Wednesday night .
Airport civil aviation authority sources said one Dhaka bound Biman flight from Bangkok of about 300 passenger on board landed in Chittagong at about 1.00 am (Thursday) and another Dhaka bound flight from Kuwait with 200 passengers also landed here . Later at 11 am yesterday these two flights left for Dhaka .
Besides , the domestic flights from Chittagong to Dhaka also hampered disruptions due to thick fog upto 11 am . Civil Aviation Manager of CSIA Wing Commander Nure Alam confirmed the disruptions of air flights and delay of flight schedule from Chittagong Airport.
The passengers came from Bangkok and Kuwait staged demonstration inside the airport lounge for not informing them about the next schedule of flight towards dhaka. Police sources said they witnessed some resentment among the passengers but no untoward incidents occured , sources said.
