State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayan Chandra Chanda Sunday said production of fisheries and livestock alongside food grains should be boosted to ensure food security for all.
“People elected us, besides government employees get salary from the public fund. . . so, services have to be provided to the people, otherwise we have to be accountable to the people,” he added.
The minister was addressing the officials and employees of fisheries department at District Fisheries Office auditorium.
Mentioning that Sherpur district is advancing in terms of agriculture production, Narayan Chandra said the farmers are contributing lots in national development apart from changing their fate through agriculture production.
He urged the field level officials to be more aware to increase fisheries and livestock production.
