President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday paid their rich tributes to the memories of Moulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani marking the 39th death anniversary of the veteran politician today.
In his message on the eve of the day the President said the nation always recalls contribution of “Majlum Jananeta”, the leader of the downtrodden, Moulana Bhasani, with deep respect.
In a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Moulana Bhasani had “deep idealistic unity and political closeness” with Greatest Bengali of all Time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said he (Bhasani) had struggled in his entire life to build an oppression-free, progressive, democratic and secular Bangladesh.
