The maiden return Hajj flight arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka carrying 335 hajjis by SV-808 of Saudi Arabian Airlines at 1:30pm (Bangladesh time) on Saturday.
The first Hajj return flight of Biman also took off from Jeddah at 11:34am (Bangladesh time) yesterday, said Tasnim Akhter, Manager (Public relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
It will continue till September 15, the Biman official added.
A total of 127,152 pilgrims from Bangladesh were carried by two airlines. Among them Biman ferried 66,000, including hajj management members, while the Saudi Airlines carried the rest. Biman’s pre-hajj flights kicked off on July 4.
