Fire gutted valuables, worth Tk 1 lakh, of an apartment in a building in Nasirabad Housing Society of Chittagong city early on Wednesday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit in the flat on the third floor of the eight-storey building on Road No-2 around 4:15am, said Humayun Kabir of Agrabad Fire Service Control Room.
On information, fire fighters rushed there and doused the blaze around 5:35am.
