An incident of fire broke out in a towel factory of Chittagong export zone area on Wednesday early morning leaves gutted huge quantity of finished towel. CEPZ sources said the fire broike out in Mitali Textile factory at sector No.5 of the industrial zone.
Asstt. Director of Fire services in Chittagong told that the fire broke out in the godown of the factory at roof top godown of four storied factory building .
Two fire unit from Agrabad rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after one hour. Fire services assuming that the fire broke out from the leftover of the cigarette.
A three member probe committee formed to ascertain the losses in the fire and find out the reasons of fire, sources said.
