Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated a common room for DU female students at Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) building.
In this regard, an inaugural ceremony was held recently at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of DU FSS building. Acting Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Sadeka Halim presided over the function. Teachers of different departments of the faculty were present on the occasion, said a DU press release.
The VC also inaugurated the construction work of 5th floor to 11th floor of the FSS building, the release added.
The Faculty of Social Sciences was founded on October 2, 1970. But its own building was established in 2007.
