A man died after he fell down from a five-storey under-construction building at Dewanpara in the city’s Bhashantek area on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Anwar Dewan, 45, son of Arab Ali Dewan of the area.
Sub-inspector of Bhashantek Police Station Rezaul Karim said Anwar fell off the third floor of the building around 8:30am that left him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital where doctors referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). However, he died on the way to the DMCH.
Meanwhile, Anwar’s brother-in-law Rabiul Alam alleged that someone pushed him to death from the building over a land-related dispute.
