Fakhrul’s mother passes away

Fatima Amin, mother of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, died at a city hospital on Thursday noon. She was 88.
Fatima who had long been suffering from various old age complications, breathed her last at
 Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital around 12 noon, said BNP chairpersons media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan. She is survived by three sons, four daughters and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
Fatima was also the wife of ex-minister Mirza Ruhul Amin who had died over a decade back.
BNP standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Moudud Ahmed, vice chairman M Shahjahan, and other party leaders visited the hospital soon after her death and consoled Fakhrul and his family members. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader also phoned Fakhrul and consoled him following his mother’s death. Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, called Fakhrul over his cellphone around 12:50 pm and expressed his sorrow over the demise of his mother, said Sayrul. Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, LDP president Oli Ahmed, JSD (Rob) ASM Abdur Rob, Krishak Sramik Janata League president Kader Siddiqui and Nagorik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna expressed deep shock at Fatima’s death.
