The Walton Dhaka Metropolis Club Cup Wrestling Competition (men’s) began on Monday in the city with the participation of 15 clubs.
Organised by Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation (BAWF), a total of 120 wrestlers from 15 metropolises clubs are taking part in eight weight categories.
The categories are 57 Kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg and 125 kg.
Earlier, Walton Group Sports and Welfare group chief FM Iqbal Bin Anwar formally inaugurated the two-day meet as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation general secretary Tabiur Rahman Palowan and joint secretary Mejbah Uddin Azad, among others, were present on the opening ceremony.
