Facilities for disabled sought

The speakers have sought all types of facilities, including adequate fund and suitable environment, for the disable people to lead their lives with dignity.
They requested the government to establish an inclusive society to ensure the rights of persons with disabilities across the country.
The disabled rights activists said that everybody should show positive attitude with helpful mind by forgetting prejudice about the incapable men.
A view exchanged programme between the disabled rights activists and journalists was held at Disabled Child Foundation (DCF) office in the city’s Khilgaon area on Sunday morning.
The Disabled Child Foundation (DCF) and Disability Rights Fund (DRF) jointly organized the program chaired by the DCF Chairperson Hafizur Rahman Bullet.
Hafizur Rahman said, “Around 15 percent disabled people have been denied to consume different rights such education and employment.”
The Government ratified the UNCRPD on November 30, 2007 and enacted the Rights and Protection of Persons with Disabilities in 2013 to ensure their rights, he said.
The DCF Executive Director Nasrin Jahan said that government should ensure all facilities to achieve Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
