State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Thursday said that the research and exploration activities of Geological Survey of Bangladesh (GSB) will have to be strengthened with modern technology for ensuring energy security of the country.
He said while speaking as the chief guest at function here on virtually. Nasrul Hamid said the government will provide necessary support quickly the initiative for establishing modern lab and training center.
GSB organised the reception programme for heroic freedom fighters and posthumous reception for freedom fighters family on the occasion of Golden Jubilee and birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on its campus.
The state minister said the initiative is to pay homage to the heroic freedom fighters commendable.
“Coordinated efforts of GSB will contribute more to the economics of the country through discover of more mineral resources,” he said.
Among others, Geological Survey of Bangladesh Director General Dr Sher Ali spoke on the function.
