15 missing as trawler capsizes in Meghna

A trawler with 60 passengers capsized in the Meghna River in Kathbazar area of Bhairab in Kishoreganj district on Wednesday afternoon, police said. Quoting witnesses, Bhairab Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Badrul Alam said that the trawler was moving towards Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria from Bhairab and sank into the river at about 2:45pm.The reasons behind the trawler capsize could not be known immediately, the police said.
