Envoys present credentials to President

New ambassadors of Suriname, Cote d’Ivoire and Cambodia to Bangladesh presented their credentials separately to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday afternoon.
The all non-resident envoys are: Aashna Wandani Radha Kanhai of Suriname, Sainy Tiemele of Cote d’Ivoire and Pichkun Panha of Cambodia.
Welcoming the ambassadors, the President assured them of extending overall cooperation in discharging their duties.
 and hoped that they would a play role in strengthening bilateral relations of their respective countries with Bangladesh, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
There are many untapped potential areas in Bangladesh and those countries, President Hamid said and added that bilateral trade will be increased to a large extent if those areas are utilized properly.
Mentioning that Bangladesh now produces high-quality pharmaceuticals, ceramics and readymade garments at a very reasonable price, the President told the envoys that their respective countries can import those products from Bangladesh.
The envoys said they would continue to put in their efforts to enhance bilateral relations with Bangladesh and sought the President’s cooperation in discharging their duties.
Secretaries concerned to the President were present.
Earlier on their arrival at Bangabhaban, the envoys were given a guard of honour separately by a contingent of the President’s Guard Regiment.
