Engr suffering from respiratory problem dies in city hospital

An engineer who had been suffering from body ache and respiratory problem died at a hospital in Dhaka early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Jashim Uddin, 52, a civil engineer of a private company and a resident of Joynabari in Savar.
Rezaul, a relative of the victim, said Jashim had been suffering from respiratory problem and body ache since Wednesday. He was admitted to Enam Medical Colelge Hospital on Sunday as his condition deteriorated.
The authorities concerned of the hospital referred him to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
Later, they took him to Kurmitola General Hospital on Sunday night from where they referred him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and finally they took him to Nayabazar Dhaka Metropolitan General Hospital where Jashim breathed his last around 3:30 am.
Mohamamd Sayem, a physician of Dhaka Metropolitan General Hospital, said the patient died within half an hour after reaching the hospital.
Besides, the local administration put the house of Jashim under lockdown, said AFM Sayed, officer-in-charge of Savar Police station.
