Eminent educationist and former Professor of Rajshahi University Abdur Rahim Khan died at a private clinic in the city early on Sunday morning at the age of 74.
He left behind his wife, two sons, one daughter and a large number of students, academic colleagues and host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death, a RU release said.
During his long academic career in the Department of Chemistry from 1981 to 2014, Prof Rahim Khan supervised a number of PhD, M. Phil and post-graduation thesis papers. Before joining Rajshahi University he was an assistant professor in the department of chemistry in Rangpur Carmichael College for around ten years.
