Elora Gohor busy with films, TV serials

National Film Award winner talented actress Elora Gohor has been engaged with acting in both big and small screens now. She is the daughter of Independence Award winner noted lyricist Nayeem Gohor. October 7 was Elora’s father’s second death anniversary. She marked the day paying tribute to him. She is grateful to all who remembered her father.
Now Elora is working in film and TV plays simultaneously. She is acting in Alvi Ahmed’s serial New Generation, Ashim Gomez’s Uthal Torongo and a serial Tumi Achho Tai, which is being aired on SA TV now. Therefore, recently she has finished shooting of a faction play titled Tomake Chai under Nahid Babu’s direction. She has also finished shooting of Saikat Nasir’s movie Pashan.
Meanwhile, shooting of Sohel Arman’s Bhromor is being stalled now where Elora is also engaged with this movie. Its director informed that coming winter he will again start of this film.
In 1979, Elora Gohor got the National Film Award for acting in Masihuddin Shaker and Sheikh Niamat Ali directed movie Surjo Dighol Bari. On that year she also got BACHSAS Award. In TV play, she first acted in Abdullah Al Mamun scripted and Atiqul Haque Chowdhury produced Tumi Sei Projapoti.
In 1989, she last acted in BTV in play Asomoyer Otithi. After a break, she again came into limelight to act in Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s Bachelor and Choruibhati. Her role a teacher named Fahmida in these movies got popularity.
Later Elora acted in Shankha Dasgupta’s Hallo Amit and Impress Telefilm’s movie Modhumoti. Today is her birthday. She did not keep any shooting schedule today.
“In fact, birthday is not only for me. Everybody wishes me on this day. Everybody prays for me as I can remain well and will work successfully,” Elora said.
