Elderly journalist Kutubuddin passes away

Former senior sub-editor of The daily New Nation A.B. Kutubuddin Ahmed died at Ibn Sina Hospital here on Sunday at the age of 65.
Ahmed, who was on life support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital, had been suffering from various complications for a long time.
A good number of people including PM’s Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and journalists attended the first namaz-e-janaza of the elderly journalist held on the premises of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) after Maghrib prayers.
His body was taken to Feni for burial.
Ahmed, who hailed from Feni district, started his career in journalism in The Morning Post daily in the late seventies and after five to six years joined The New Nation where he served as a senior-sub editor for many years.
